Job: Communications Specialist

As a communications specialist, you will be required to drive alignment, engagement, and productivity and champion the SDS brand through corporate communications and employee experience activities throughout the SDS group.
You will act as a trusted advisor and facilitator to internal stakeholders to create and promote effective communications both internally and externally. Your role will be to unite internal and external communications messaging to ensure our business objectives and values are well articulated and understood.

Job Summary:

Internal Communications:

  • Work with executive, regional and functional management to articulate business objectives and company values and effectively communicate this throughout the organization
  • Administrate and promote active use of internal digital workplace
  • Gather and analyze internal communications metrics, identify and rectify areas of improvement
  • Create and deploy critical communications using appropriate channels
  • Facilitate regular and transparent interdepartmental communications to break down silos (internal newsletters, liaising across departments)
  • Provide communications coaching as needed to leverage internal tools

Marketing and content:

  • Consistently ensure that marketing messages are cohesive and clear and according to defined brand guidelines
  • Contribute to social and digital media channels to support marketing projects
  • Enrich market awareness and keep informed on industry
  • Produce press releases in collaboration with internal stakeholders for release to the market
  • Occasional event management activities for internal and external (industry) events

Employee Experience:

  • Support change management initiatives
  • Collect and measure employee sentiments on a range of issues and help implement engagement initiatives where needed
  • Support employer brand projects to reinforce SDS reputation externally and attract talent
  • Manage regular employee satisfaction activities, collect data, make recommendations to management and follow up on corrective actions where required

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree combined with 2 – 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Autonomous, strategic, and results-driven mindset
  • Strong cross-cultural communicator with aptitude working in international teams
  • Professional fluency in English with excellent spelling and grammar
  • Good understanding of the SDS market and industry
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience in communications and marketing roles within the fintech industry
  • Background working with data to demonstrate value and ROI
  • MS Office Suite (word, excel, PowerPoint)
