The telecom operator in this case study is part of one of the largest telecom groups in Africa. Challenges of falling sales and productivity started to impact the company’s top line revenue. The economy had a slow GDP growth rate along with high unemployment, political instability and turbulence. Together, these factors resulted in macro conditions that were not in the favor of the operator. The goal was to stay competitive in its offerings while showing solid revenue growth.

The telecom operator in consultation with Seamless Distribution Systems decided to stimulate the market through higher value products that deliver a better value to subscribers and higher return on investment to the operator. Coupled with the introduction of a reseller mobile app, the telecom operator was able to use an omni-channel approach to reach its growth targets and grow revenue.
