How does he spend his week?

  • Capacity management of team members in alignment with POs
  • Learning and development of teams
  • Stakeholder management
  • Addressing any and all concerns of team members

engineering culture

What is the engineering team culture like at the company? Any traditions?

‘It’s not you, it’s the process’ – is a mantra that makes rounds in our team. We believe in shared responsibility and getting to the core of the problem instead of playing the blame game. The engineering team culture is very collaborative and supportive and we are constantly working together to improve our products and work processes.

Are there any challenges that you often need to overcome?

Finding a common language between the engineering and operations teams, without affecting the delivery timeline, is no easy feat. But after a lot of trial and error and thankfully minimal damage, we know the fix: collaboration from start to finish.

Engineering team challenges

What’s an important lesson you’ve learned while working at Seamless?

What doesn’t kill you will teach you the importance of teamwork and collaboration. Many a times, my role requires me to walk a thin line and I have learnt how to be adaptable and flexible in different situations, which makes it much easier to resolve conflicts and move on from difficult situations. And after my fair share of D-Day situations, I have also managed to learn to prioritize my time efficiently.

What are your personal goals/objectives that you strive to achieve?

As much as it may sound like a cliche, I always strive for continuous learning and to be a better version of myself. And I believe that this would allow me to be more valuable and prominent in a professional setting as well.

Any big personal wins at Seamless that you’re particularly proud of?

There are many small personal wins that add up to the proud moments that I have as a manager.

  • Being able to successfully motivate and inspire my team to achieve their goals, as well as being able to effectively communicate with and listen to my team members.
  • I am also proud of being able to build strong relationships with my team members, which has resulted in a high level of trust and respect.
  • How do you unwind from work?

I usually have a practice meeting with friends and have some casual gossip, and during weekends eat my weight into snacks and binge on web series. However, it drastically changed from last month after the arrival of my little angel :). Now I try to spend most of the quality time with my daughter.
